The inaugural issue of the Journal of the Louisiana Public Health Association, Volume 1 | November ’20, is now available. Developed in partnership with the Louisiana Public Health Association, this new publication is led by faculty and staff at LSU Health New Orleans School of Public Health.

Editors-in-Chief are LSU Health New Orleans School of Public Health associate deans Kari Fitzmorris Brisolara, ScD, and Donna Williams, DrPH. Managing editors are LSU Health New Orleans faculty and staff Amber Brown, MPH, Martha Cuccia, MPH, Laura Ricks, MPH, and associate dean Edward Trapido, ScD. The journal was designed by LSU Health’s Whitney Marmer, MPH.

The peer-reviewed journal addresses public health, community health, health education and promotion in Louisiana and the Gulf South. The first issue features Commentary, COVID-19 Rapid Response Briefs, Spotlight, Notes from the Field, Public Health Briefs, and Research sections. The issue is available here.
